Current Opportunities

We are always looking for highly motivated applicants with transferable skills, experience and qualifications. Selections for vacancies are based on merit.

Recruitment portal

The recruitment portal lists specific vacancies that are currently open for applications. These recruitment rounds will be looking for particular skills and attributes, and are run periodically.

Talent register

Our talent register is open for candidates to express interest in joining the Office. When appropriate vacancies are identified, we use the register to fill critical gaps in our workforce at all APS levels. 

Applicants may be considered for ongoing, non-ongoing, or temporary vacancies. Both current APS employees interested in s26 transfers or secondments, and applicants with no prior APS experience are encouraged to register their interest.

The register is actively monitored and applications will remain current for 12 months. You will only be contacted if a vacancy arises that suits your skills and experience.

We may fill vacancies across all roles and teams in the Office. For more information on job types, please see the Roles and Teams page.

To register, you will be asked to provide:

  • A current CV or resume no longer than 4 pages
  • A covering letter no longer than 2 pages, indicating the area of work you have expertise in
  • A summary of your skills, knowledge, experience and educational qualifications, and your interest in the Office.
